12 Days of Baking: Christmas Hugs (Day 2)

Courtesy of Sunny Side Up Blog

Grab kids for this folks because I’m giving you one that even they can do! This recipe comes courtesy of Erin from Sunny Side Up Blog. Erin makes these for various occasions (I made them for Halloween) and at Christmas hands them out in little goody bags! Neat! This is so simple and the kids will have fun helping you out. Of course you have to do the “baking” part, but the rest they can do!

What you need

1 bag of Hershey’s Hugs (at Christmas they come with green and red stripes!)
1 bag of Christmas M&M’s (red and green)
Bag of Square pretzels (I bulk in bulk at the bulk store; they’re called Waffle Pretzels)

Pre-heat oven to 200°F.

On a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, line up the waffle pretzels.

Unwrap (this is where the kids can help!) the chocolate hugs and place on each square.

Place in oven for 7 minutes (they should be soft, not melted). Remove and place one of each color (two in total) on top of the hug and press down.

Once finished place in fridge to cool. You can leave them in there overnight as well.

These are so good and so much fun to make. I dare you to just eat one! I betcha you can’t!
