You cannot have a 12 days of baking without a chocolate chip cookie. This one is a gooder… it’s a chocolate chocolate chip cookie. Mmmm, NOM! You’re welcome!
What you’ll need
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature
2/3 cups white sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 package of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a medium bowl sift flour, baking soda, cocoa and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chip.
Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned. Cool 1 minute on sheets and then transfer to racks for remainder of cooling process. Store in tightly sealed container.
Makes about 5 dozen.
